EngiQueers has three main pillars: Social Connection, Education & Advocacy, and Professional Development.

When Vanessa created the McMaster EngiQueers in 2013, she had no idea it would eventually expand to a national non-profit serving over 30 universities across the country. But the need was clear - students needed community, the profession needed support to learn about inclusion, and smaller schools needed help from more established clubs.

Creating EQ for thousands of students to feel more comfortable and included in their educational spaces is the greatest pride of Vanessa's career thus far.
